Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Stretch Mooring

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued this combined synopsis and solicitation, identified by solicitation number 1333MJ26Q0011, to procure two replacement stretch hoses equipped with two flange adapters each. These components are essential for maintaining the operational capabilities of moored data buoys, serving as a bungee-like cord that integrates directly with pre-existing systems. The reinforced rubber stretch hoses utilize elastomer-synthetic composite technology to provide a stable sensor platform, stretching up to 1.5 times their original length to act as mechanical isolators between the surface buoy and the lower mooring section.
