The General Services Administration (GSA) Public Buildings Service is conducting a virtual Industry Day on January 21, 2026, to present the acquisition strategy for two construction projects at the Federico Degetau Federal Building and Clemente Ruiz Nazario U.S. Courthouse complex in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Both projects will be solicited as firm-fixed-price contracts using procurement methods developed in accordance with FAR Part 15 and FAR 36.
The first project involves non-structural seismic mitigation at the Nazario Courthouse with an estimated magnitude between $20,000,000 and $40,000,000. The scope includes replacing or modifying existing unreinforced concrete masonry unit walls and installing fiber-reinforced polymer material around all columns. The anticipated period of performance ranges from 24 to 46 months following the notice to proceed.
The second project is the construction of a new 10-story courthouse annex with an estimated magnitude between $200,000,000 and $260,000,000. This 188,000-gross-square-foot facility will be linked to the existing Degetau and Nazario buildings and will feature six courtrooms, ten chambers, 35 indoor parking spaces, and office space for the U.S. District Clerk and the U.S. Marshals Service.
