Laboratory Research Support

The USDA Forest Service’s Forest Products Laboratory (FPL) intends to award a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to AgriChemical Technologies, Inc. for intermittent research support. This award is facilitated under the authority of the Small Business Administration’s Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program, identified by the WOSBSS set-aside code. The Forest Biopolymer Science and Engineering (FBSE) unit requires this support to assist in understanding the properties of wood and related materials to enhance their service life and develop new applications.

The contractor will provide skilled laboratory technician services for various research activities located in Madison, Wisconsin. Primary responsibilities include protein modification and analysis, adhesive formulation and testing, and the maintenance of research data in notebooks and spreadsheets. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for analyzing and graphing data for reports and providing weekly progress updates. This BPA is designed to expedite contracting for uncertain research requirements necessary to maintain scientific operations at the national research laboratory.
