G2X TAKE: The scope of this task is not going to be relevant to the vast majority of G2X readers, but the recent string of market research activities by VA using this contract option should raise the HIT SIN on the radar for those yet to take action.
T4NG continues to dominate the pure IT and consulting work, but SDVOSBs looking to gain prime VA experience may want to look again at pushing the Health IT SIN up on your list of priorities. This sources sought is still following protocol as it seeks SDVOSBs, who can meet the requirements and with only 108 primes and 14 SDVOSBs on the roster as of today, contracting firms and the government will look to this vehicle as a way to limit the competition.
Of note is that this RFI comes out of the VA SAC, a group that, sans VECTOR, will be looking for contracting options that can fulfill their needs.
