G2X TAKE: Beating out 14 others, this small group picked up this highly visible 3-year task to agilely develop, enhance, test, release, and maintain various aspects of Vets.gov, including but not limited to, application development, website design, content creation, and authentication integration.
Ad Hoc, founded by a former Presidential Innovation Fellow and two developers who lay claim to being part of the ‘tech surge’ team that saved healthcare.gov, is certainly indicative of the type of firm you might have expected the VA Digital Services team to lean towards. Ad Hoc worked behind the scenes with the VA to help deliver the first version of Vets.gov, and that experience and insight appears to have paid off. At $40M over 3 years, you can expect to see a number of open positions posted out of Ad Hoc in the near future.
