G2X TAKE: The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded a 5-year contract for VMware software support and maintenance, professional services and licenses. The task, valued at $137M, was awarded to service-disabled Veteran owned V3Gate using NASA SEWP V as an SDVOSB set-aside action.
Notable in the award is the VA’s consumption-based approach to modernizing their infrastructure. This move is consistent with the VA’s overall direction toward consumption-based acquisitions and positions the VMware team well for future expansion.
