G2X TAKE: The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) recently handed out several new contracts to support the PE program office, established to perform various measurement assessments and analyses on specially selected health care programs, products, and processes to ensure they are effective and provide business value to VHA.
While the award totals related to these contracts is relatively small when compared to some of the larger and higher profile initiatives taking place across VA, the evolution of PE’s involvement in the measurement of programs from its early focus on products and individual programs to now supporting some of the highest priority initiatives across VA and in support of VA stakeholders at the top executive levels, makes these contracts and awardees worth noting.
Awardees for these five-year BPAs include:
WBB — Product Effectiveness Lessons Learned
Atlas Research, a SDVOSB — Product Effectiveness Functional Review
Deloitte — Product Effectiveness Functional Review and Lessons Learned BPA
LMI — VHA Product Effectiveness Measurement Services
WBB — VHA Product Effectiveness Measurement Services
Deloitte — VHA Product Effectiveness Measurement Services
And, for what appears to be their first prime award, SDVOSB, Technology Solutions Corporation has added the Product Effectiveness Integration Program Management Support contract.
With VA continuing to push transformation while looking for opportunities to drive down costs, the need for support services to help validate investment decisions, provide accountability, and support continuous improvement of mission-critical health information and informatics projects across VHA will be increasingly in demand.
