G2X TAKE: Beating out seven other bidders, Liberty IT Solutions, a Booz Allen Hamilton Company, and major VA partner that supports multiple Government agencies across a diverse portfolio of Health IT projects, has been awarded a new 6-year task to provide shippable products, operations support, and security compliance for the health services portfolio. The task, valued at $735M, was awarded using T4NG.
- Earlier this summer Booz Allen Hamilton announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Liberty IT Solutions, a leading information technology and services firm, for $725 million. More on that here.
- Following the completion of the acquisition it was reported that Liberty would operate as a Booz Allen company, integrated with the firm’s Civilian Services Group led by Executive Vice President Kristine Martin Anderson. More here.
- Liberty IT is a significant partner to VA with recent wins to include an award earlier this year – a $974M VA Product and Technology Ecosystem Management Services task. This award came a year after this group was awarded a huge $380M VA API Development and Operations Support task; and it builds on a number of other recent wins, to include an $18M Debt Management Center support task; a VA Standards and Terminology Sustainment task win; and a series of wins this group added late in 2019 totaling $700M.
- Liberty IT, driven by a leadership team that includes President Scott Hanawalt; COO Mark Merz; Luke Hannon, Executive Vice President; Sam Strulson, VP, Growth and Strategic Initiatives; and Alicia Ponegalek, Director of Strategic Initiatives, was named to the list of the NXT UP firms poised to make big waves in the Federal sector in 2020 and for years to come.
