G2X TAKE: This recent award to modernize VA-FSC’s healthcare claims processing from a series of decentralized claims processing systems to a centralized, configurable, industry standard claims technology solution is just the latest in a string of big wins for Health IT business solutions provider, CNSI.
Beating out three other bidders, this 5-year contract awarded to CNSI is expected to include implementation of a modern and efficient solution for VA-FSC that can be used to adjudicate, process, and prepare for payment of healthcare claims submitted by healthcare providers, while supporting this franchise organization’s efforts to migrate existing and potential customers into the system. The full SOW can be found here.
This big win at VA comes on the heels of two other recent and positive announcements for CNSI. The first is that this CMS SPARC Prime was recently awarded a 4.5 year $35M win to provide CMS with engineering, development and maintenance of its next generation Encounter Data Processing System (EDPS) for Medicare Part C claims.
The second announcement came last week as GAO dismissed a competitor’s protest related to a $166M award CNSI received to provide a DOL OWCP workers’ compensation medical bill processing (WCMBP) solution. This back and forth battle had been going on since early 2014, with this dismissal at least tentatively clearing the path for CNSI to get started on this three-year effort.
With a broad set of Federal, State and commercial experience, and expertise, these types of wins only further position CNSI as a partner, and competitor, firms will be looking to get to know for these complicated Healthcare systems efforts.
