G2X TAKE: IBM, a Fortune 50 Technology giant and longtime partner to the Department of Veterans Affairs, recently beat out two other bidders to be awarded a 5-year task to support the VBA Office of Mission Support with Freedom of Information Act/ Privacy Act processing services. The task was competed and awarded using the Veterans Intake, Conversion, and Communication Services (VICCS) IDIQ.
- IBM was one of six Prime awardees named to the 5-year $900M VICCS IDIQ contract late last year to provide a range of services, to include Centralized Source Material Tracking Services; Intake and Conversion Services; Inbound Mail Management Support Services; Rules-Based Processing Services; and Centralized Outbound Services, in support of the VBA Office of Business and Process Integration (OBPI).
- IBM, a longtime partner to VA, was awarded a $66M VBA Mail Automation Services task late last year on VICCS and they recently unveiled GRIT, a digital solution developed in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs, to help veterans in transition.
- This time last year IBM completed a landmark deal with the $34B acquisition of Red Hat. Red Hat has been a key partner to VA, thus expanding IBM’s already significant reach at the Agency.
