VA awards $35M Supply Chain Transformation support task

"Veterans Health Administration (VHA) awarded Associated Veterans, LLC – Quality Solutions, in partnership with Deloitte Consulting, a 5-year engagement to provide advisory and assistance services for Supply Chain Transformation. The Supply Chain Transformation Initiative is one of VA’s 12 Breakthrough Priorities and a critical enabler in “achieving support services excellence.” The first phase of the Transformation will be the execution of the VHA’s 2-year plan to stabilize/standardize VA’s supply chain and the establishment of Supply Chain Innovation Centers to test and refine the target supply chain future operating model. A second transformational phase will provide expertise to support the Supply Chain Transformation Breakthrough Initiative and the VHA Future Supply Chain Program Office. Sub-initiatives for transformation execution include advisory and assistance related to 1) Commodity Total Support, 2) Equipment Lifecycle Management, 3) Data Standardization, 4) Workforce Management, and 5) Diffusing Supply Chain Excellence. Total award value is $35M over 5 years."

G2X TAKE:  Less than 6 months after being acquired, this SDVOSB, named in April as one of the 11 FedHealthIT firms who came to play, just picked up a 5 year $35M task to provide advisory and assistance services for the Supply Chain Transformation Initiative. This is a big win for both Deloitte and Associated Veterans as this effort has been identified as one of VA’s 12 Breakthrough Priorities.
