G2X TAKE: Easily one of the smallest prime awardees on T4NG, this latest 1 year $22.2M award to support the VA Office of Informatics and Analytics Knowledge Based Systems (KBS) with their CDS Content and HL7-compliant Knowledge Artifacts, stands to change the face of this SDVOSB in a hurry.
Led by Dwight Hunt and Brad Palmer, awardee B3 Group has had a number of smaller prime awards on T4NG to date, to include an IT Operations, Sustainment and Infrastructure task in support of the James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (JALFHCC) and a strategic Identity Access Management (IAM) Common Security Services (CSS) task, but this latest award is likely to keep the recruiting team at B3 just a bit busier than normal this Spring.
While a short-term task, the opportunity to support the Office of Knowledge Based Systems (KBS) in their efforts to implement Clinical Decision Support (CDS) within electronic health records (EHRs) and VA health information systems would seem to be a good position given the new administration’s continued focus on increasing quality, safety, and efficiency.
This was competed on T4NG as a SDVOSB set aside. There were no other bidders. CDS Expert, Cognitive Medical is a known partner to B3 on this effort.
