G2X TAKE: Continuing to build on its incredible success at VA, Liberty IT, a very fast-growing mission-centric SDVO consultancy that supports multiple Government agencies across a diverse portfolio of Health IT projects, just beat out three other bidders to be awarded a new 4-year task to provide Veterans Affairs with DMC IT modernization and sustainment services. The task was competed and awarded using the T4NG IDIQ as a service-disabled Veteran-owned small business set-aside action.
- An RFI was posted in January for this DMC IT Support acquisition is to acquire Software Development Services to include software engineering and development, and developer and architect expertise, as well as application administration and other support needed to perform SDLC tasks in the development and support of applications and systems associated with the CARS, CAROLS, and VAMS environments. The DMC is also faced with the need to build capacity to handle the day to day tasks associated with the management of increasingly complex environments managed by DMC. DMC also has a need to boost the Information Technology Division (ITD) development capabilities for emerging development tasks not previously identified as well as requirements associated with VA’s new financial system roll-out and other associated VA partner modernization efforts. See the full RFI here.
- This award follows a huge $380M VA API Development and Operations Support task Liberty was awarded to kick off 2020 and it builds on a series of wins this group added late in 2019 totalling $700M. These include a 5-year $64M Advanced Medical Cost Management Solution & Healthcare Financial Management Services support task; a 5-year $35M task to provide VA with Data Migration and Syndication Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Support Services; a 5-year $48M task to support efforts related to Data Loss Prevention; a 3-year $95M task to provide Management Consulting Services and Healthcare Revenue Workflow Management and Business Information Technology Tools; and a very notable $434M Health Integration and Modernization (HI&M) support task.
- Liberty IT solutions, who was identified by Cerner as one of their key partners for the $10B VA EHR Modernization initiative, recently hired Microsoft veteran Scott Thompson to be its VP of Cloud Strategy and Consulting and Eddie Urso was promoted to serve as Vice President for VA Accounts at Liberty IT Solutions. Other notable additions to the team include Federal Health Industry Leader, Sam Strulson who joined the company in late 2018 to serve as a VP for Growth and Strategic Initiatives and former Cerner Executive Joe Branson who was recruited late in 2019 to be VP of Product Strategy and Partner Relations.
- Liberty IT, easily one of the most successful T4NG Primes and one of the fastest growing SDVOSBs of this decade, was recently named to the updated list of the NXT UP firms poised to make big waves in the Federal sector in 2020 and for years to come.
