VA Acquisition Innovation Advocate takes on new challenge

G2X TAKE: Mark Junda, a leader who helped the United States Digital Service to be successful by leading a team at the Technology Acquisition Center to award USDS driven contracts, has taken on a new role with the TAC as Director for Service Division E. Note: Mark will be keeping his AIA duties.

You can read more about Mark here in this recent article that calls him out as one of the forward-looking contracting leaders encouraging new IT vendors, while highlighting VA’s use of Github as a way for the Agency to communicate information about procurement to commercial IT developers and other IT marketplace participants.

While we have heard little about what the future goals are for Service Division E, we may hear more at next month’s VA hosted Technology Acquisition Center Industry Engagement event – details here.  If you have not made the pilgrimage to Eatontown before and VA is on your radar, we highly recommend the trip as it is a great way to connect with VA leaders from Government and industry. Book your hotel early as the plum locations/rates will fill fast.

Over the course of the next few months, G2Xchange Health will be standing up and enhancing a new permanent portion of our site intended to help you identify potential opportunities you and your firm may want to evaluate.  We want your feedback!!

Round One – January 2019 – A searchable list of over 50 contracts that are expected to expire in FY 2019 have been loaded. Each includes a very basic set of data about each. Did we already say we want your feedback?! Contact us at and let us know what you think.

Round Two – By the end of January, you can expect to see another couple hundred opportunities that cut across Q2, Q3, and Q4 of FY19 and the first part of FY20.
