Over the past several months you have seen announcements about the acquisition of G2Xchange by MileMarker10, as well as the upcoming launch of XFactor. This Q&A with Susan Sharer, CEO of MileMarker10 (MM10), is intended to share more details with you about our future direction and to spotlight a new tool that we’ll be releasing this week to better support your growth activities.
Did anything change in the mission and focus of G2Xchange or FedHealthIT, with the acquisition by MileMarker10?
G2Xchange and FedHealthIT were established to support the Federal Health and Federal Civilian IT and Consulting communities with information, actionable insight and business intelligence to support their missions and those of their Federal Government clients. That has not changed.
One of the motivators behind the decision for me to lead and chart the future direction of MM10 is to ensure that continuity and focus.
Why the Acquisition?
Part of the inspiration and drive behind our acquisition was to be able to grow, to take to the next level our products and services to support growth efforts of our Federal contractors. To that end, we have already begun working on new tools to drive better intelligence, along with new resources to support our Members and their teams. We have also been building our team, adding more people to support Members, more people to drive research and content, and more people to support our growing tools and resources.
Is That What XFactor is All About?
XFactor is the first new resource that MM10 will be rolling out. This ground-breaking platform will help Federal sector growth professionals and their companies save time and money. Our unique solution provides an integrated dashboard for accessing market and competitive intelligence for future and previously awarded agreements, contracts and orders, and compiles data from beta.SAM, eBuy, and other sources so users can view, save and search all in one easy-to-use platform. We know there are other tools available to you but we also know G2X has always been able to hone in on the opportunities and insight that directly impact our community and their specific businesses and XFactor will be no different.
We know that our Members rely on the G2X TAKE to help them understand what is happening today, and to provide historical context. Now we want to help Members be more proactive, looking at opportunities, programs, people, budgets that will be released in the future, 6 months, 9 months, 18 months and even 3 years out!
How Will XFactor Come to Me?
We did a little tease earlier in November and we’re ready to release XFactor to the community on a 14-day Beta test. We hope that the G2X community – both Government and industry – will take a look, let us know what they like or don’t, tell us what might be missing, or about anything that may be confusing. As we hear back from Members and evolve the tool, a standard version will become available to all current and new Members as part of their G2X Membership.
We know this community is active and engaged and we’re anticipating some great feedback. To ensure we can take it all in, we’re going to be rolling the release out to the community over the course of a few days. Some people will get it and be able to start their test on day one, others may not get their notice or be able to start until a few days later.
You’ll be receiving an email during the week of December 1, 2020 from firstname.lastname@example.org with instructions on how to activate your trial. Please be on the lookout for it and check your spam folder just in case. We don’t want you to miss this!
What’s Ahead for 2021?
Well, we know that 2020 has been a crazy year. I don’t know that anyone would disagree there. But you know, we managed to keep things moving at a great pace, while pivoting our events and delivering even more of them.
What does 2021 have in store? I don’t think anyone can completely answer that question. What we do know though, is that we will be continuing to grow, to bring what this community needs and wants. We have several new products in development, with the same goal of simplifying the way our customers do business with the Government, and we will roll them out based on our vision and incorporated feedback from the community.
Is There Anything Else You Want to Share?
I just want to say thank you again to this incredible community. We have loved the way we all came together through 2020, Zoom and all, and we look forward to continuing the journey with you. Oh, and be on the lookout for your chance to try XFactor and let us know what you think.
