“Sierra7 has completed the asset purchase agreement with HMS Technologies, Inc. (HMS) of Martinsburg, WV. Included in the purchase were the VA T4NG IDIQ, GSA VETS2, NIH CIO-SP3 and NASA SEWP GWACs, and multiple active task orders. Sierra7 will continue to operate as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Details of the agreement were not made public. These contracts come just in time for the government’s summer buying season, offering federal agencies even greater access to Sierra7’s expanding portfolio of health, technology and operations solutions and services. The paint is still fresh on Sierra7’s new upscale headquarters. To support all their recent growth, Sierra7 recently moved (from Reston Town Center) to new office space located at 3190 Fairview Park Drive in Falls Church, VA. Their new headquarters has easy access to the 495 Beltway and to downtown DC, and conveniently located across from the Fairview Park Marriott where many handshake agreements between contractors get started… and are sure to return once quarantine restrictions are lifted in the DC area.” Source: Sierra7
G2X TAKE: Confirming some of our earlier reports, this SDVOSB Healthcare services and IT consultancy formally announced details related to this recent acquisition. The access this group has gained to several key contract vehicles, to include the VA T4NG IDIQ, GSA VETS2, NIH CIO-SP3 and NASA SEWP GWACs is certain to move them up on the partner list for many.
Take Bytes
- Sierra7 has already added their first T4NG task win, beating out three others to be awarded a 3-year task to provide Department of Veterans Affairs with Veterans Benefits Management System SQA support services. More here.
- If that wasn’t enough, this group was one of the small businesses recently awarded a Prime spot on the $1B VHA Integrated Healthcare Transformation (IHT) IDIQ which is intended to provide a vehicle for a wide range of general management and business services and solutions in the broad health care environment. They also serve as a Prime contractor for the $25B VA Veteran Enterprise Contracting for Transformation and Operations Readiness (VECTOR) contract, and are one of only 3 awardees who initially received 4 Service Group areas.
- Led by CEO, Rafael Fagundo, Sierra7 has made several executive level hires this year to bolster their position, to include recruiting former VA Enterprise and Systems Security lead Steve Gosewehr as a new VP and recently adding well-known industry leaders John Peterson and Frank Rendon to serve as COO and CFO respectively.
