** Update 11.15.16
G2X TAKE: The protest of this award to provide CMS with program management, systems integration, and test management support to the Social Security Number Removal Initiative (SSNRI) Program has been withdrawn.
Accenture, and teammate A-Tek have withdrawn their protest. Details as to their rationale are limited at this point and we won’t speculate as to potential reasons why this may have taken place. This is the only known protest.

G2X TAKE: April showers may
bring May flowers, but September awards make for a busy month of October as
protests start rolling in. The challenge of this contract award to provide CMS
with program management, systems integration, and
test management support to the Social Security Number Removal Initiative
(SSNRI) Program was levied by Accenture late last week.
Accenture does not exactly have a reputation or track record of protesting much, so they must feel strongly about their grounds for this challenge. The high profile nature of this contract is certain to play a role in this as well, as CMS expects the SSNRI Program to potentially affect “more than 75 complex CMS legacy IT systems, as well as 57 unique eligibility and enrollment systems and federal partner IT systems.”
Details as to the basis for the protest remain limited at this point, with GAO listing the due date for resolution of this as no later than January 9th.
