G2X TAKE:  It has been a good end of the summer for this group who can lay claim to being one of the nation’s largest providers of high volume claims and transaction processing, contact center operations and technical services at CMS.

Palmetto GBA has added three contracts in the last few weeks, to include:

  • A 12 month $32M Front-End System (FES), formerly Customer Service Front End Systems, contract. This effort will focus on supporting users with the submission of Encounter Data, Risk Adjustment Data, and Prescription Drug Event transactions and providing the EDI Gateway for submission of over 4 billion transactions annually. There were no other bidders for this task.

  • Beating out 5 other bidders, Palmetto picked up a 5 year $275M task in early September to provide health insurance benefit administration services, including Medicare claims processing and payment services, in support of the Medicare program (also known as the Medicare fee-for-service, or FFS, program) for Jurisdiction J.

  • And, In late July, Palmetto GBA was awarded a 3 year $3.8M task for Continuing Education (CE) Support and Medicare Learning Network (MLN) Product Development, formerly the Provider Education Support Services contract.

Those looking to get to know Palmetto GBA a little bit better will want to note that they recruited Industry Veteran, Craig Jones earlier this year to lead growth efforts.
