Numerous wins enable Telligen to expand presence in Maryland

“Telligen, a leading provider of population health management solutions that improve healthcare quality and lower costs, rounds out 2015 with significant wins in both the state and federal markets.

Federal -— As part of Telligen’s designation as a Quality Improvement Network (QIN) for Iowa, Illinois and Colorado, the company was awarded additional tasks aimed at supporting physician practices participating in CMS’ Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPI). In addition to performing this work for our three QIN states, Telligen also competitively bid and won the same work for Maryland and Virginia.

State— Telligen was recently awarded a contract from the State of Maryland conducting utilization control of services provided in selected hospitals, nursing facilities and home and community-based services covered by the state’s Medicaid agency.

Both wins will increase the 6.3 million lives Telligen currently covers; provide an enhanced presence in the state of Maryland; and grow the company’s office in Elkridge, Maryland.”

G2X TAKE: With a number of announced wins that extend across the Federal and State market, this large CMS player is finding itself in need of bigger office space. A Federal focus on quality improvement, data analytics and healthcare IT along with abroad set of experience supporting population health initiatives for commercial clients and government programs, including multiple Medicare programs that measure quality and cost-effectiveness, has enabled Telligen, formerly IFMC, to set themselves apart from the competition.

Telligen made a number of key hires this past year including two Federal Health IT Industry Veterans, Ann Kenny and Mike Blake.
