G2X TAKE: Edgewater Federal Solutions, a fast-growing small business who specializes in providing Government organizations with full life-cycle IT services, beat out 15 other bidders to be awarded this 5-year contract in support of the National Institutes of Health. This requirement, valued at $50M, which is identified as being funded by the NIH National Library of Medicine, was competed and awarded as a small business set-aside on GSA IT-70.
- This is the first Prime award we can find for Edgewater in support of NIH or HHS, but this group, founded in 2002, lays claim to a long-standing record in supporting its federal customers, particularly the Department of Energy (DOE), with support for over 20 DOE customers including program, staff, and site offices as well as Management and Operating contractors (M&Os). The company’s services include enterprise IT, Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity, business process optimization, systems engineering, program management, and data science and analytics.
- Led by Founder and Chairman, Dick Yockman; CEO, Lorelie Yockman; and President Dave Yockman, Edgewater Federal Solutions is a repeat awardee of such honors as the Washington Post Top Workplaces and the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies. These include being recently named one of the Washington Post’s 2021 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. area for the 4th year and, with a Two-Year Revenue Growth of 162 Percent, being ranked No. 78 on Inc. Magazine’s List of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the D.C. Metro Region.
- Adding to their growing set of contract vehicle options, in late 2019 Edewater secured a Prime spot on GSA OASIS – One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) – Small Business (Pool 1). See their full list of contract vehicles here.
