NIH appoints Deputy CIO at NIH NIDDK

G2X TAKE: Having spent the last four years as part of the leadership team at the NIH Center for Information Technology under CIO, Andrea Norris, and the 10 years prior to that with industry, this technology leader has just taken on a new role as Deputy CIO at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.

Vikas Khator will offer perspective from his time supporting broader Information and systems security needs for NIH and as a principal consultant prior to that.

NIDDK focuses onto conducting and supporting medical research and research training and to disseminate science-based information on diabetes and other endocrine and metabolic diseases; digestive diseases, nutritional disorders, and obesity; and kidney, urologic, and hematologic diseases.
