Livanta scores $55M CMS BFCC QIO Claim Review Services Support task

G2X TAKE: Livanta, an industry leader in Healthcare quality improvement and oversight who specializes in business process outsourcing, information technology, risk management, information security, and data analysis services, just beat out one other bidder to be awarded this 4 1/2 -year task to provide the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Beneficiary and Family Centered Care Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) with Beneficiary Oversight claim review services. The task, focused on decreasing the paid claims error rate, was competed and awarded using the Beneficiary and Family Centered Care (BFCC) Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) IDIQ.

  • This new award action comes almost a year to the day after an initial award was made to Livanta, with that award subsequently protested, the funding pulled back and corrective action taken by the agency to address issues raised as part of the protest. Details on the protest can be found here. 
  • Livanta has been very busy adding senior talent over the last year or so, to include recruiting Federal Health industry leader Roger Hebden in the Spring of 2019 to serve as CEO, adding Thomas Nowak to lead BD and Capture at VA and DHA this past Fall, and adding senior technology expert Randall Severy as a Chief Technology Officer in early 2020. 
  • Led by CEO Roger Hebden, Livanta was recently named to the updated list of NXT UP firms poised to make big waves in the Federal sector in 2020 and for years to come.
