G2X TAKE: Lantana Consulting Group, a woman-owned small business provider of services and software for standards-based health information exchange, recently added a new task order win to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). Work will be to enhance submission specifications, provide statistical analysis, supporting NHSN users reporting AUR data, update NHSN terminology, participate in NHSN modernization, and develop NHSN’s adverse drug event (ADE) module.
- Since 2007, Lantana has worked with NHSN’s infection control subject matter experts (SMEs) to produce clear, implementable national specifications for data reporting and, in honor of U.S. Antibiotic Awareness Week (USAAW) and Lantana’s continued partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the company recently provided an update on the nation’s primary system for tracking inpatient antibiotic use and resistance: The National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) Antimicrobial Use and Resistance (AUR) Module.
