G2X TAKE: With much on the line today and even more opportunities on the horizon, we continue to see a high level of activity as firms jockey and position for veteran expertise. Included below are a few examples of recent industry moves to note.
HealthcareITNews reported yesterday that the former VA Chief Information Strategy Officer and Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary for Health, David Waltman, has recently signed on to Cerner’s federal team, where he’ll help with “efforts related to government strategy, innovation, engineering and compliance,” according to a statement from Cerner.
To make the recent acquisition/novation deal even sweeter, new T4NG Prime Agile Six Applications has announced the deal comes with two noted industry veterans. Brent Swartz will serve as Senior Vice President of Services and Operation at Agile Six and Brian Morgan will serve as Senior Vice President for Strategy and Business Development. CEO, Robert Rasmussen will have his hands full as this group gets up to speed, but the experience this team brings at VA on both T4NG and T4 will go a long way.
Fast Rising Management Consulting firm and SDVOSB, Enterprise Resource Performance Inc. (ERPi) has recruited Stacey Donald as a new Associate Vice President. Given a string of task awards this group has picked up lately at VA, to include a $43M Program Management Implementation and Integration award to support VHAs Office of Strategic Integration-Veterans Engineering Resource Center, Stacey will be in a position to hit the ground running.
One of the smallest T4NG primes when awarded, the fast growing B3 Group continues to make big investments, this time adding rising industry executive, Matthew Garvey. B3 has been steadily picking up steam in 2017 with a few strategic wins at VA, to include a $22M Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Program Office Support, one for eCPIC support, and another for support of the Austin Financial Services Center
