G2X TAKE: After more than 5 years with the Agency, Caryl Brzymialkiewicz, a senior executive who served as the first Chief Data Officer for the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is taking on a new role as Deputy Inspector General at the U.S. Department of the Interior.
A focus from Caryl’s time at HHS centered around leading a team to drive improved analytics for use in audits, investigations, evaluations, and compliance oversight and the enhanced use of data to make more informed decisions. We would expect to see much of this carry over to the new agency.
Prior roles include:
- Assistant Inspector General/Chief Data Officer – U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
- Deputy Assistant Secretary for Risk and Decision Analysis – U.S. Department of Homeland Security
- Executive Director for Analysis – U.S. Department of Homeland Security
