G2X TAKE: Beating out three other bidders, Grant Thornton, a global consultancy who specializes in helping Government leaders with issues including financial management, information technology and performance management, has been awarded a 4 ½-year Exchange Improper Payment Measurement Review contract to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The contract was competed and awarded using the GSA Professional Services Schedule (PSS).
- Grant Thornton is a longtime partner to CMS, with this award building on Prime wins they added in the last year to Provide Risk Assessment and Operational Analysis support to CMMI, as well as having beat out 7 last year to be awarded a 5-year Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
- Last year at this time Grant Thornton announced it had recruited David Weir to its Public Sector Healthcare practice as a managing director to be responsible for supporting Grant Thornton clients at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and across the public sector healthcare space.
