G2X TAKE: Less than a year removed from their acquisition of CSRA, a longtime partner to NIH, GDIT just beat out 4 other bidders to be awarded this 5-year task to support the National Human Genome Research Institute, the institute which supports the development of technology and resources that will accelerate genome research and its application to human health. This task was competed using GSA IT-70.
- GDIT, by way of CSRA, is a familiar face at NHGRI, having been awarded a 3-year $17M task to provide IT support services to the NIH National Human Genome Research Institute in 2016.
- GDIT has been very aggressive on the recruiting front of late, adding former FDA and NIH IT Exec Milad Bahrami to serve as VP; veteran growth leader, Cheryl Waldrup as Vice President of Federal Capture; Jermon Bafaty as their new sector Growth Leader responsible for leading all new business generation for the Federal Health Sector; and Jack Ginsburg as their new Vice President/Executive Leader, Growth (Federal Civilian Division).
- This builds on a $159M Cyber Tech Infrastructure Support task at NIAID and a separate $28M Monitoring, Program Management and O&M Support task for NIH that GDIT was awarded earlier this year.
- GDIT was recently identified as one of the Federal Health consulting firms creating a BUZZ.
