Department of Veterans Affairs awards $259M Telehealth contract

G2X TAKE: Awarded to four vendors, the purpose of this 5 year consolidated contract is to support the ongoing and emerging business needs of the Veterans Health Administration's (VHA) national Home Telehealth Program (HT). The mission essential HT Program relies upon home telehealth platforms that the VA classifies as Medical Device Data Systems (MDDS), and is intended to support the independent living capability of VA patients.
Beating out 11 other bidders, the four awardees are Care Innovations, LLC, Iron Bow Technologies, Medtronic Care Management Services and 1Vision LLC, a Joint Venture between two Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses - T4NG prime, HMS Technologies and MBL Technologies.
Tasks released under this contract will seek home telehealth products that enable bi-directional secure transmission of health data and all services relating to the installation and ongoing operation and maintenance of servers that support the home telehealth program.
