Deloitte wins 2-year $3.3M contract to provide assistance to newly formed Veteran Experience Office, operated by a Chief Veteran Experience Officer

Deloitte to provide assistance to newly formed veteran experience office –- February 13, 2015, FPDS

VA has recognized that a critical component of the MyVA restructuring initiative must include a new Veteran Experience office, operated by a Chief Veteran Experience Officer who reports directly to the Secretary.  The contractor will provide assistance in forming this new Veteran Experience office to help VA in its efforts to realize the vision of a Veteran-centric organization. The support shall include the organizational design and change management strategy, as well as an implementation plan. At VA’s discretion, it may exercise an optional task for execution of the implementation plan. There were a total of three bids.

G2X TAKE: With new leadership and a highly visible and important mission, this is a very strategic win for Deloitte. While the initial contract is only 2 years/$3.3M, you would expect that the funding levels will grow quickly. Deloitte has to be happy with the language that states that “at VA’s discretion, it may exercise an optional task for execution of the implementation plan.”, as it is now theirs to lose.
