CMS cancels Major Solicitation currently in process for over a month

CMS cancels Major Solicitation currently in process for over a month -– June 25, 2015, FBO

TO: All Eligible Offerors
SUBJECT: Amendment 3 to Request for Proposals (RFP) #151535 for the Provider Compliance Reporting System (PCRS) – RFP Cancellation

CMS is providing notice that RFP #151535 for the Provider Compliance Reporting System (PCRS) is hereby cancelled.

CMS has concluded that this system may need to be developed on an entirely different scale and may require the involvement of multiple components within the agency. In addition, new requirements will need to be defined and will be significantly different from those described in the current PCRS Statement of Work. Therefore, it has been determined that it is in the best interest of the Government to cancel RFP #151535 for the Provider Compliance Reporting System (PCRS).

If you have any questions concerning the cancellation of RFP #151535, please contact Tiara Freeman at (410) 786-2291 or Tiara.Freeman@cms.hhs.gov,
Dawn R. Wilkins at (410) 786-4588 or

or the undersigned at……

G2X TAKE: CMS issued an amendment late yesterday for this active solicitation notifying all Eligible Offerors, many who have been working on this proposal for over a month, that the RFP has been cancelled for Provider Compliant Reporting System. A number of firms around town will rightfully be unhappy as this was a significant effort in term of time spent and opportunity cost. The more concerning part here is that the CMS only now “concluded that this system may need to be developed on an entirely different scale and may require the involvement of multiple components within the agency”.
