CMS awards $310M Next Generation Desktop (NGD) Contract

G2X TAKE: This task is for the continued operations, maintenance and enhancement of NGD, a CRM system designed to provide a single front-end interface for call center Customer Service Representatives to address beneficiary needs, and assist Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) consumers.

Awarded once again to National Government Services, this solution operates as the core application that drives all communication channels supporting the Virtual Contact Center Strategy (VCS).

With massive changes expected as part of the new administration repeal efforts, this contract, and many others, stand to be affected greatly, though there will clearly be an ongoing need for assistance and communication related to any new effort. With capabilities that include specialized services in claims administration, data management, financial management and large-scale IT systems, NGS will clearly be a strategic player at CMS, irrespective of the direction the new administration takes.
