G2X TAKE: There is big news out this morning as Ace Info Solutions, a very fast growing consultancy who specializes in Application Services, Cloud Services, Cybersecurity and Managed Services, and who maintains a very broad Federal Civilian set of past performance, to include direct experience supporting HHS, NIH, CDC, FDA and SAMHSA, has been acquired by Dovel Technologies.
While this move by Dovel does offer some additional past performance and a set of relationships across HHS, the real value in this deal lies in the additional capabilities, the many contract vehicles, and the deep set of experience AceInfo brings across agencies such as NOAA, USDA, DHS, Census, and many more.
The big takeaway here from our perspective is that the highly successful Dovel, who previously acquired subsidiary Medical Science and Computing (MSC), and who is already a major Federal Health IT player who can lay claim to the types of expertise in health IT, life sciences, and grants management that few can, is now positioned for growth across the broader Federal Civilian market. This group is #onetowatch as we look to 2020.
