G2X TAKE: Deloitte, a global consulting and advisory services firm and longtime partner to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, was recently awarded a new 2-year contract to support the Agency’s Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS), a web-based application that supports planning and execution for temporary, mobile, or satellite COVID-19 vaccination clinics, as well as traditional medical practices that do not have existing IT systems for vaccination clinic management. This contract was not competed and is identified as only one source.
- Last month CDC announced its intent to award a sole source contract to Deloitte for VAMS Operations and Maintenance (O&M). “Deloitte is a provider of consulting, application development, analysis and related services. Under the current contract, Deloitte has developed VAMS using their GovConnect proprietary platform with plans to develop future planned releases of the application on the same platform before the contract terms end. During the initial phases of the COVID-19 vaccine response, the VAMS application was planned as one of the technology solutions CDC would establish to ensure CDC could obtain COVID-19 vaccination data in real time to near real time fashion.” More here.
- Deloitte added more than a half dozen new wins in the last few months of the fiscal year totaling more than $50M in support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (More here). These wins were on the heels of Deloitte securing a Prime position on a pair of new CDC specific contract vehicles in the last year, to include an Advancing the Future of Work at CDC BPA, and a $100M CDC CPR Multiple-Award Professional Support Services BPA award they added last Fall.
- We should note that Deloitte Consulting Principal and IT Transformation leader Kerri Maloney was recently recognized as a 2020 FedHealthIT Women in Leadership Award Winner.
- Deloitte was recently named to the updated list of NXT UP firms poised to make big waves in the Federal sector in 2020 and for years to come.
