ByLight wins 30-month $18.6M VA SOARD Technical Support contract

Service Oriented Architecture Research and Development (SOARD) project is a multi-year effort to replace VA’s existing asset management systems with a single web-based, integrated, enterprise-level system. SOARD addresses VA’s critical need for a modernized and integrated asset management capability, and supports the VA Strategic Goal to improve internal customer satisfaction with management systems and support services to make VA an employer of choice by investing in human capital. The scope of this effort is to provide VA with project management, technical, and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support services for the Maximo enterprise-wide solution.

G2X TAKE: This is a sizable award on a critical project at VA, as the VA continues their efforts to replace VA’s legacy asset management system with Maximo as an integrated, enterprise-level system across VA. With Booz Allen leading PM work and Computerized Facility Integration (CFI) providing Maximo Professional Services, ByLight will be challenged to hit the ground running. ByLight beat out four other competitors to win this 30 month contract.
