CDC Application Hosting and Enterprise File and Data Center Services (AHS) Support

G2X TAKE: The CDC can be a
brutal environment for recompete efforts as the dynamics of an isolated agency
in terms of geography ensures a laser like focus from the competition. This 4 ½
year $88.3M contract to provide continued
support for CDC’s Application Hosting Branch/Mid-Tier Data Center was awarded
once again to HP Enterprise Services, in spite of challenges from 3
competitors. This contract was competed on the CDC CIMS IDIQ.
Between the HP Split in late 2015 and the planned merger with Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC), the Federal Health group for HPE has seen much change over the past year, but has continued to compete, win, and add new talent. This new combined entity, which is expected to create an IT services firm with $26+ billion in annual sales, is certain to be one of the major competitors as we move into 2017.
