G2X TAKE: Continuing to shed light on the many significant awards that were announced over the past few weeks, here we note two new wins for global consultancy KPMG who maintains a dedicated focus on Healthcare transformation, program integrity, business transformation, and data analytics.
KPMG beat out four other bidders to be awarded an $11M single-award NIH Risk Management Program BPA. Work will be supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Management Assessment (OMA) in conducting in-depth evaluations of high-risk areas identified through risk assessment, testing the controls in place for high-risk areas, and developing findings and recommendations.
KPMG will provide broad support to the NIH risk management program, including providing recommendations for reducing risk, and supporting NIH’s programmatic and operational responsibilities.
KPMG was also awarded a 3-year $25M Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services CCIIO No Surprises Act Provider Enforcement and Transparency IDIQ. This contract was awarded using the GSA Professional Services Schedule (PSS).
Work under this effort falls under the Public Health Services Act and includes creating and updating a provider enforcement oversight strategy, conducting provider enforcement investigations, research and trend analysis of provider compliance, consumer and uninsured individual’s complaints, and other related topics. KPMG will also help develop and provide technical assistance and training to internal and external stakeholders.
- These awards build on several significant wins for this group in support of CMS of late, to include a recent $18M CMS Program Integrity and Financial Oversight contract; a $31M Spend Optimization Support task; a $25M Operating Risk Adjustment Data Validation (RADV) support contract; a $17M CMS PPFMG External Audit Program contract; a Prime win on the CMS Enterprise Operations BPA; along with an initial Value Based Care Enablement support task on the EOPS BPA.
- The team also scored other recent wins across the Federal health space to include a $5M HRSA Provider Relief Fund task; and a Department of the Navy FISCAM Support Services task.
- KPMG was named to the list of NXT UP firms poised to make big waves in the Federal sector in 2020 and for years to come.
