Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA) within the Marine Corps intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Anduril Industries for the procurement of non-kinetic attack Counter-small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAS) packages. This requirement supports the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) platform and includes Pulsar Lite (Pulsar-L) systems and vehicle integration kits. The acquisition addresses an Urgent Statement of Need to provide the newly fielded ACV platform with the capability to detect, track, identify, and defeat increasingly prolific sUAS threats. The Pulsar-L system utilizes the Lattice operating system for semi-autonomous response and battlefield management, requiring minimal engineering for integration into the ACV while maintaining an open architecture for collaboration with other sensors and weapon effector systems.
The procurement is being conducted under the authority of 10 U.S.C. §3204 (a)(2), as implemented by FAR 6.302-2(a)(2), due to unusual and compelling urgency. As the original designer and producer of the Pulsar-L, Anduril is the only source capable of meeting the immediate performance and production readiness requirements to avoid serious injury to government interests. The anticipated contract features a one-year period of performance.
