View moreThe subject requirement is being met using manufacturing NAICS code 335921, Fiber Optic Cable Manufacturing, business size standard of 1,000 employees, as the requirement is considered a supply with incidental services. A search of the SBA’s applicable NAICS codes for WOSB set asides confirmed the NAICS code can be used for a WOSB set-aside up to $6.5M; it is not anticipated the requirement will exceed the threshold.
In accordance with R-DFARS 219-104-3(e)(2), the Nonmanufacturer Rule does not apply to this WOSB set aside as the NAICS code is listed on the SBA Class Waiver list dated June 2022. As a result, small businesses are not required to supply products manufactured by another small domestic business; instead, they can supply products manufactured by companies of any size.
This solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) RFO subpart 12.202, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
