Motion Capture Cameras

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, has issued this sources sought notice for the acquisition of a motion capture system upgrade. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the government intends to award a firm-fixed-price commercial contract on an other than full and open competition basis to Vicon Motion Systems Inc. The required equipment and services include 56 Vicon Valkyrie VK 16 cameras, Lock Lab control boxes, Active Wands, camera cables, Vicon Trackers, an advanced PC, and an installation kit. The scope also encompasses system warranties and on-site installation, setup, and training, which involves tearing down existing equipment at an original location and re-installing systems at secondary and tertiary locations.

This requirement is classified under NAICS 334310 for Audio and Video Equipment Manufacturing and PSC 6710 for Cameras, Motion Picture. While the government intends to sole-source this procurement, firms that believe they can fulfill the requirement may submit a capability statement demonstrating their experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the work without compromising quality or schedule. The government anticipates a Cyber Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 1 (FCI, Self) for this effort.
