STEEL GRIT 40

The Department of the Army, MICC-FT Drum, issued combined synopsis/solicitation W911S226U3001 for the procurement of size 40 steel grit. This requirement is classified under NAICS 322299, All Other Converted Paper Product Manufacturing, and PSC 5350, Abrasive Materials. The solicitation is designated as an SBA SBA set-aside. All products must adhere to SAE J1993 HCS G40H standards with a minimum hardness of HCS G (1)H 60 HRC and no more than 5% round or half-round particles. No variations to these technical specifications will be considered.

Contractors must provide a Certificate of Analysis and a Material Certification Report including a statement of SAE J1993 compliance, lot numbers, and analytical data. Approval of these certifications by the MCAAP AO is required before a contract award is made. The performance schedule consists of three deliveries of 40,800 lbs each, scheduled for June 3, June 10, and June 24, 2026. Materials may be shipped in 50 lb bags and must include labels identifying the manufacturer and batch details.
