Disposal and Destruction

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Logistics Management Directorate is soliciting proposals for the disposal and destruction of expired perishable commodities. This requirement covers a variety of items, including meals packaged with heater elements; bottled, canned, or boxed water; hygiene kits; infant toddler kits; and consumable medical supplies. The scope also includes the disposal of plastic sheeting and tarps as required. FEMA intends to establish an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle to facilitate these services.

The Incident Support Section (ISS70) is managing this procurement under solicitation number 70FB7022R00000012, which is designated as a Small Business Administration (SBA) set-aside. The acquisition is classified under NAICS 562211, Hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal, and PSC P100, Salvage- Preparation and Disposal of Excess/Surplus Property. Responses to the solicitation are due by July 25, 2022, at 1:00 PM EST, and the primary point of contact is Sarah Trudeau.

The solicitation documentation consists of five attachments, including the primary solicitation file, a pricing structure spreadsheet, a statement of work, and a past performance questionnaire. A question and response document was formally incorporated into the notice via Amendment 0001, published on July 14, 2022. All other terms and conditions of the original June 29, 2022, publication remain unchanged.
