NSWC Crane, under the Department of the Navy, is conducting market research to identify industry capabilities for the maintenance and material support of various Government Owned Vehicles (GOV), Non-Tactical Vehicles (NTV), and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). This requirement is classified under NAICS 441227 for Motorcycle, ATV, and All Other Motor Vehicle Dealers and PSC J023 for MAINT/REPAIR/REBUILD OF EQUIPMENT- GROUND EFFECT VEHICLES, MOTOR VEHICLES, TRAILERS, AND CYCLES. The scope includes annual original equipment manufacturer maintenance and preventative maintenance for Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) military vehicles, focusing on electrical, braking, and structural elements. Supported equipment also includes gooseneck and flatbed trailers, all-terrain vehicles, and small engines for generators ranging from 2kW to 26kW.
The primary place of performance is Crane, Indiana. Service support is divided into local requirements within 100 miles of NSWC Crane and remote support beyond that radius, specifically for tire and wheel repair and GFE components such as antenna mounts, hoist systems, and trailer leveling components. Maintenance technicians are expected to have qualifications similar to an Army MOS 91B Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. While the government provides transportation for vehicles to vendor locations in most cases, HVAC support and non-preventative maintenance require separate quotes for evaluation.
This special notice, identified by solicitation number N0016426SNB76, is for market research only and no funding is currently available. Interested parties may submit a response including a five-page white paper and the provided Market Research Questionnaire attachment by the deadline of June 16, 2026.
