INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE OEM MACGREGOR USA ANCHOR WINDLASS INSPECTION AND TESTING

Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (FLCPS) is seeking inspection and testing services for anchor windlasses on a USNS T-AKE vessel. This is a sole-source procurement directed to MacGregor USA INC, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), because the work involves ship critical safety items governed by COMSCINST 4490.1C. The objective is to verify the operational readiness of both port and starboard windlasses while the vessel is in Busan, South Korea. The government will evaluate submissions based on technical capability, past performance, and price. Although this is an intent to sole source, other parties may submit capability statements to help the government determine if a competitive procurement is possible.
