Sources Sought External Hardware for ZCU 216 Boards
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division is conducting market research to identify sources for external hardware compatible with ZCU-216 boards. This notice helps determine the availability of small business set-aside opportunities and identifies domestic manufacturers for commercial product purchases. The requirement includes enclosures and daughter boards for the NIST Physical Measurements Lab in Boulder, Colorado. Capability statements must specify the country of origin for manufactured products, as NIST is seeking information on U.S.-based manufacturing. Technical specifications cover three sets of hardware with specific frequency ranges and compatibility with open-source QICK firmware. This research will inform the acquisition strategy for a potential procurement on SAM.gov. The attached Requirements and Specifications document defines the performance metrics, delivery timelines, and warranty terms for the hardware. The scope involves three sets of enclosures and daughter boards that integrate with ZCU-216 boards and maintain QICK firmware compatibility. The NIST Physical Measurements Lab requires specialized external hardware for the Advanced Microwave Photonics Group (AMPG) to perform qubit and resonator measurements at ultra-low temperatures.
