The Department of the Air Force has issued special notice F3A1AM01 for the procurement of 14 UTS HH75 Heaters to support the 621st Contingency Response Group (CRG). This equipment is required to provide reliable heating for personnel and field equipment in arctic and sub-arctic environments where temperatures fall below -10°F. The UTS HH75 Heater is identified as the only solution suitable for light and lean deployments, as it operates at temperatures as low as -50°F when fueled with kerosene and consumes significantly less power than current Environmental Control Units. The procurement is classified under PSC 1660 for Aircraft Air Conditioning, Heating, and Pressurizing Equipment and is designated as an SBA Small Business Administration set-aside.
The scope of work requires the vendor to deliver the heaters with a standard manufacturer warranty to Cape May Court House, New Jersey, by the response deadline of June 15, 2026. These heaters must meet specific performance requirements, including a heat output of 75,000 BTU/H, compatibility with multiple fuel types such as DF1, DF2, JP5, JP8, and Kerosene, and a fuel consumption rate of 0.53 gallons per hour under continuous use. Each unit must include an exhaust stack, two heater ducts, a remote thermostat, and an operations and maintenance manual. Following delivery, the 621 CRG will manage the maintenance and operation of the units through its AGE/Electrical Power Production Work Center for use in global deployments, training, and exercises.
