(2 Each) Can-Am Defender MAX Limited HD11 Utility Task Vehicles (UTV)

The Department of the Army is purchasing two Can-Am Defender MAX Limited HD11 Utility Task Vehicles (UTVs) for use at the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center and the Grayling Air to Ground Range in Michigan. This is a 100% small business set-aside using simplified acquisition procedures. The requirement is for all-weather, all-terrain vehicles equipped for year-round operations in extreme environments, including climate-controlled cabins and specialized mobility systems. The procurement is limited to the Can-Am brand to maintain compatibility with the Michigan National Guard's existing parts inventory and attachments. Amendment 0001, issued June 14, 2026, updated the technical specifications and addressed industry questions. While currently unfunded, the government requires quotes to remain valid through September 30, 2026, to allow for a potential award if funds are secured. The solicitation package includes the SF-1449, an updated Description of Requirement, a Q&A document, and a brand-name justification memorandum. Delivery will be to Alpena, Michigan. This requirement is limited to the Can-Am brand to ensure compatibility with existing attachments and spare parts at the delivery sites. A formal Absence of Competition Memorandum justifies the exclusion of other brands. The updated Description of Requirement (DOR) specifies 100 HP Rotax engines and integrated HVAC systems for year-round use.
